The Youth Climate Conclave, a mock of Conference of Parties is a first of its kind in the country that aims to engage youth considering their role and importance in Sustainable Development and in fast tracking the achievement of targets set in the same.   

Organization of the event involved a facilitator group, UN leaders (mockery), students representing various countries and interest groups (NGOs/CSOs) and negotiation was headed by UN Chair, Co-Chair and Experts. Every team had 5 members from various disciplines such as Environmental /Agricultural, Biological, Chemical /Medical Sciences, Energy, Sustainability Science, Engineering and Architecture, etc.

Winners of the preliminary rounds conducted regionally in the cities Hyderabad, Pune, Bhubaneswar and Bengaluru participated in the Finals of the National Youth Climate Conclave on 4th November as part of CSD’s 20th Anniversary events at the Capitol Hotel, Bengaluru.

  • Winners – Team Australia from BJB Autonomous College, Bhubaneswar, Odisha 
  • First Runner up – Team Brazil from SSMRV college, Bengaluru, Karnataka
  • Second Runner up – Teams India and Bangladesh from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, Maharashtra and Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad, Telangana, respectively.
