We at Centre for Sustainable Development have successfully completed various activities like Human Message Chain (5th June 14), Dry Waste Segregation training (6th June 14) and Eco Santhe (7th June 14) as part of World Environment Day Celebrations.

Human Message Chain was organized to create general awareness in the public on various ways and means by which we can help and save environment. Over 300 school children have participated in this activity holding the placards with important messages to public to help increase awareness about environment, on one side of the 100 feet Road in Indiranagar, Bangalore between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM.

On 6th June 14, CSD team has visited over 100 business establishments and about 100 households in New Thippasandra and in Indiranagar areas, distributing the bags for dry waste collection and training them on importance of segregating waste, which was highly appreciated by the citizens.

On 7th as part of World Environment Day celebrations, we had conducted Eco Santhe, where we have setup stalls to showcase & sell Recycled Products & Organic Food products, Demos on Solar Lighting, Waste segregation & reuse and Food Safety demo to create awareness on food adulteration, related health issues, citizen rights and ways to check the adulteration easily.

The event was also supported by some well wishers and eco-friendly citizens. All the programs and activities were well received by the citizens around the area.
