As part of   Food safety Awareness Programmes, CSD conducted 2 day training program on “Food Safety and Hygiene   for   Employees of Department of Health and Food safety this program is supported by Public Health Institute, Government of Karnataka. The programme was conducted in the month of March 2015 at Sangama, Executive Development Centre, Institute of Hotel Management, Bangalore.

The training programme was attended by thirty three (33) and thirty (30) food safety officers and designated officers respectively, from different taluks and districts of Karnataka in the first and second programmes of the department of Health and family welfare.

The objective of this programme is mainly to educate and equip the participants with the Food safety and Standard Act 2006. The topics that are covered within this programme are Food Safety and management, food adulteration, Legal issues and food testing laboratory and consumer grievances.
